Dian Al-Mahri Cake


Dian Al-Mahri. The cake was made like the Dian Al-Mahri mosque, in Jakarta. The 3 x 1.5m cake is made out of 55 kilograms of dark chocolate, 40 kilograms white chocolate and 25 kilograms milk chocolate and is kept on display to celebrate the Muslim’s fasting month of Ramadan. Muslim devotees abstain from eating, drinking, and any sexual activities from dawn to dusk during the festival.link

White House Cake


White House.  Well, not exactly a cake, but pretty close. The White House pastry chefs constructed a gingerbread and white chocolate replica of the famed building itself and part of the surrounding grounds, complete with candlesticks, wreaths on each window and Michelle Obama’s garden. The entire structure weighs over 400 pounds (!). Impressive. link
