1 – Clocky hides when you hit snooze
It is an alarm clock for people who have trouble getting out of bed.
If you’re like us and hit the snooze button eight thousand times each morning, perhaps it’s in your own best interests to have a clock that, say, rolls off the table and finds a new place to hide every day, so you’re sure to properly get up the next time it goes off.
2 – The alarm clock makes you solve arithmetic operations before it will turn off
“I had trouble waking up for work, and traditional alarm clocks didn’t seem to help. I learned to hit the snooze or off buttons in my sleep. The problem was that alarms are too easy to turn off, and so I set forth to create an alarm clock that challenges me to prove that I am awake.
How should it challenge me? Well, I’m from a math background, so the natural choice is with arithmatic. A problem like 23*17 + 6 will keep me thinking for at least 20 seconds; if the alarm clock makes me solve five in a row, then it can be sure I’m awake. There’s no way I can learn to do this in my sleep.”
This PIC-based alarm clock makes you solve arithmetic operations before it will turn off. The design is free and open source and is powered by a PIC16 microcontroller, which manages the user interface and keeps time. It displays the current time and the arithmetic challenge via a cheap lcd from all electronics.
3 – Sonic Grenade Alarm
The Sonic Alarm will wake pretty well anything up. Simply pull the pin, yell an emphatic “fire in the hole” and lob the grenade into the sleeper’s room. After ten seconds a very annoying and piercingly loud noise
- there are three volume settings – will blast out from the alarm. That’s not all however, what makes this especially great is that to stop the alarm the sleeper has to find you so you can put the pin back in
4 – Jack Bauer`s clock
If none of the alarm clocks can really fulfill the task of waking you up then invest in this
Danger Bomb Clock that will wake you up with an explosion sound. To disable the alarm you will have to pull out just one code from three and the safety code is set randomly every morning. Not very dangerously priced, the danger Bomb clock is for $37.
5 – Simon says Alarm Clock
When the alarm sounds in the morning, you’ll need to correctly remember and reproduce the sequence of lights by pressing the 4 colored buttons in the correct order. Otherwise, the alarm will continue to sound until you’re awake enough to pop out the batteries
6 – The Sfera Alarm Clock Forces You Out Of Bed
The Sfera alarm clock hangs from the ceiling above your bed. When the alarm goes off, you can reach up and touch it to activate the snooze function causing it retract towards the ceiling. When snooze goes off again, you have to reach higher to activate the snooze again. Each time you activate the snooze function the alarm retracts a little higher to the point that you get your butt out of bed
