Erika Iris Simmons is an imaginative painter and sculptor who works with non-traditional media and is driven by an incredible passion for self-expression through art.
In “Ghost in the Machine” Erica showcases a number of portraits of musicians made out of recycled cassette tape with original cassette.

“The idea comes from a philosopher’s (Ryle) description of how your spirit lives in your body. I imagine we are all, like cassettes, thoughts wrapped up in awkward packaging.” link
