The Invisible Poster

The London poster campaign is specifically in support of Troy Davis, a man described as having âbeen on death row for 19 years in the USA, despite serious doubts about his conviction.â
The posters, depicting a close-up Davisâs face, are mounted on fence railings that disguise the posters so that the face behind the bars is revealed only when viewed from an angle.link
The Sculpture constructed of a thousand reclaimed pieces of plexiglass

New York artist Tom Fruinâs outdoor sculpture Kolonihavehus in the plaza of the Royal Danish Library in Copenhagen has the appearance of a friendly and colorful stained-glass house, yet it also evokes thoughts of churches and Charles Rennie Macintosh.
Fruinâs sculpture is constructed of a thousand reclaimed pieces of plexiglass ranging in size from 2×2 to 24×36 inches. They originate from many sources, including a closed- down plexi distributorship near Copenhagen, a framing shop, the basement of the Danish State Art Workshops, and the dumpsters outside the Danish Architecture Center.link

Art installation ‘Shelter’, a giant number 4 made from discarded umbrellas by artist Stephanie Imbeau, winner Channel 4′s BIG4 public art competition, stands illuminated in front of the Channel 4 building on March 4, 2009 in London, England. The 41.000 Led Nodes Art Installation
A massive installation by American artist Leo Villareal features approximately 41,000 LED nodes that run through a 200-foot-long tunnel in the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C..
As passerbyers move between the East and West buildings on an airport style people mover, the zillions of lights flicker on and off over head creating rhythmic patterns and abstract configurations. The custom designed software also has an element of chance built into it, so itâs unlikely that anyone will see the same routine twice.link
Millions of Dust Particles Floating in the Air

This art installation at Clark Shoes Headquarters in Street Somerset, South England and was commissioned by Mr Lance Clark and is the first phase of two, of the art work situated in the communal court yard in the heart of Clarks office buildings.
The installation itself was developed from a single observation â Light is only seen when reflected. A light beam coming through a window is only visible because light is reflected in the millions of dust particles floating in the air.
As wind and light changes during the day and the seasons, the dynamic of the installation alters â sometimes wild, illuminating the entire space, at other times calm reflecting the colors of the surroundings on grey

Hard Drive Sculptures

Hard drives gone bad donât always have to end up in the trash. Miguel Rivera, a systems administrator, took a pile of used drives, gutted some and turned them into beautiful sculptures.
âThe overall concept was to make something out of just hard drive parts and pieces,â says Rivera. âI wanted it to look solid and heavy so I leaned towards just using metal â no plastic or gluing things together.â
The results are creations that almost take your breath away in their complexity and beauty. link
