Created by Darren Pearson -a San Diego-based graphic artist – , these Light Fossils are some of the best light paintings we’ve seen in a long while.

He uses a photographic technique in which exposures are made usually at night or in a darkened room by moving a hand-held light source or by moving the camera. The technique is called Light painting or Light Graffiti.

Darren Pearson, aka Darius Twin has plenty curated sets and illustration collections to look at here.

The first known photographer to use this technique was Man Ray in his series “Space Writing” created in 1935.
