James Hopkins is the British artist who created this amazing perspective sculpture. Looking from the sides it looks as a bunch of thrown together spare parts, but if you put yourself in front of it, all the pieces line up, and creates a perfect image of the Simpsons family. Link

Dalton Ghetti carves sculptures out of the points of pencils, literally. These miniature masterpieces are a side project for the professional carpenter, who has been perfecting this art for the last 25 years.
Every sculpture takes anywhere between a few months to a few years, so anyone who has seen a completed work won’t be surprised to hear that a project will take a decade.

Pixel Orca Sculpture

Douglas Coupland created this pixel sculpture which lives outside of the Vancouver convention center.link
The sculpture made of 5,500 footballs

Nike create a sculpture out of 5,500 footballs in Carlton Mall Atrium in Johannesburg. It was the centrepiece of a Nike installation promoting the firm’s kits and boots for the World Cup. The balls was held together using 10km of cable with the whole thing weighing in at 4.75 tons. link
The 2,500 Coke bottle Crates Sculpture

Also at World Cup, Coca Cola took advantage of the Crate Man craze and installed 54-foot CrateFan in Cape town at the Victoria an Albert Waterfront/harbor. It was built of 2,500 Coke bottle crates and weighed 25 tons.link

The London poster campaign is specifically in support of Troy Davis, a man described as having “been on death row for 19 years in the USA, despite serious doubts about his conviction.”
The posters, depicting a close-up Davis’s face, are mounted on fence railings that disguise the posters so that the face behind the bars is revealed only when viewed from an angle.link

New York artist Tom Fruin’s outdoor sculpture Kolonihavehus in the plaza of the Royal Danish Library in Copenhagen has the appearance of a friendly and colorful stained-glass house, yet it also evokes thoughts of churches and Charles Rennie Macintosh.
Fruin’s sculpture is constructed of a thousand reclaimed pieces of plexiglass ranging in size from 2×2 to 24×36 inches. They originate from many sources, including a closed- down plexi distributorship near Copenhagen, a framing shop, the basement of the Danish State Art Workshops, and the dumpsters outside the Danish Architecture Center.link

Art installation ‘Shelter’, a giant number 4 made from discarded umbrellas by artist Stephanie Imbeau, winner Channel 4′s BIG4 public art competition, stands illuminated in front of the Channel 4 building on March 4, 2009 in London, England. The piece, a representation of channel 4′s logo, is constructed from unconnected blocks so that it only appears as the number 4 from a certain viewpoint.link
The 41.000 Led Nodes Art Installation
A massive installation by American artist Leo Villareal features approximately 41,000 LED nodes that run through a 200-foot-long tunnel in the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C..
As passerbyers move between the East and West buildings on an airport style people mover, the zillions of lights flicker on and off over head creating rhythmic patterns and abstract configurations. The custom designed software also has an element of chance built into it, so it’s unlikely that anyone will see the same routine twice.link
Millions of Dust Particles Floating in the Air

This art installation at Clark Shoes Headquarters in Street Somerset, South England and was commissioned by Mr Lance Clark and is the first phase of two, of the art work situated in the communal court yard in the heart of Clarks office buildings.
The installation itself was developed from a single observation – Light is only seen when reflected. A light beam coming through a window is only visible because light is reflected in the millions of dust particles floating in the air.
As wind and light changes during the day and the seasons, the dynamic of the installation alters – sometimes wild, illuminating the entire space, at other times calm reflecting the colors of the surroundings on grey

This colourful sculpture is one of many made by British artist Robert Bradford. And don’t be surprised if bits look familiar – they’re made out of children’s old toys. Robert Bradford started experimenting with toys for his artwork in 2004, after getting inspiration from his own children’s toy boxes.
His dog sculptures are so popular that people have even asked him to create toy versions of their own pets. It can take thousands of tiny toys to create one of the larger sculptures.link

Some artists use paint, others bronze – But for Nathan Sawaya he chooses to build his awe-inspiring art out of toy building blocks. LEGO® bricks to be exact.
With more than 1.5 million colored bricks in his New York studio, Sawaya’s sculptures take many forms.
Sawaya’s art is currently touring North American museums in a show titled, The Art of the Brick. It’s the only exhibition focusing exclusively on LEGO as an art medium. The creations, constructed from nearly one million pieces, were built from standard bricks beginning as early as 2002. link

Nick Georgiou creates organic sculptures out of old newspapers, and then drops them off in random locations throughout the city.
“Books and newspapers are becoming artifacts of the 21st century,” he explains.
“My work is not only about the decline of the printed word in today’s society but its rebirth as art”. link
